The Automobile Club is proud to host in Pistoia Ecomobility2010 Dynamo Camp Onlus association. The Association was founded in 2007 by Dynamo Foundation, a foundation Philantrophy venture founded in 2003 by Vincenzo Manes who is its chairman. Dynamo Camp Onlus Association pursues exclusively charitable purposes and operates non-profit organization in the field of social assistance and social services. Dynamo Camp (www.dynamocamp.org) is a field of recreational therapy, first in Italy, specially designed for guests to bring their children with serious, chronic disease, from 7 to 17 years in therapy or during post-hospitalization. These are mainly children suffering from neuromotor and Oncology. Dynamo Camp opened its doors in 2007, houses 60 children, grew to 218 in 2008 and over 500 in 2009: the objective is to welcome over 750 of 2010, as part of summer sessions, Easter and Christmas holidays, and weekends for families. The project has national scope and international children come from all over Italy (summer 2009: 40% from the north, 28% and 32% by the Centre from the South, including foreign children treated in our country), and from foreign countries, in particularly in Europe, the Mediterranean and the Middle East. Dynamo Camp (www.dynamocamp.org) is the first in Italy to the family of Hole in the Wall Camps founded by Paul Newman and active throughout the world. The first camp was opened in 1988 in Connecticut and there are currently 11 camps around the world in full operation, while others are under construction (www.holeinthewallcamps.org).
